2021 Festival Closes
After 6 performances over 5 days the festival concluded on Sunday evening with the Festival Players performing Dvorak's "American Quartet." It was an emotional week welcoming audiences back to live classical music and we've been truly humbled by the positive feedback from our patrons.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers, audiences, trustees & most importantly musicians for helping make the festival happen in the most testing of circumstances. A personal highlight was the Saturday Supper Concert where the weather gods looked favourably upon us and we were able to enjoy the serene green surroundings that Lasham has to offer.
I'd love to receive any feedback on the festival that you may have to offer whether that be positive or negative! One hour concerts seemed to be a roaring success and perhaps this may be part of the new normal?
It's been an extremely challenging few months creating a covid secure festival and we'll be taking stock before making any future plans however we remain hopeful that we'll open our doors once again in the future.
