Sponsorship Announcement

Lasham Classical Music Festival would like to thank its new sponsors for 2019. With the support of these sponsors we can provide the public with breath-taking performances by talented Classical Artists, while providing support and funding to help develop young local musicians in partnership with The Esseham Music Charity. These new sponsors come from a variety of business backgrounds from accountancy to film studios to locally produced wines. All of whom share a common love of classical music.

BDO United Kingdom, our principal sponsor, offers distinctive accountancy and business advice and who want to preserve and build on the strengths of their culture and the characteristics that make them both successful and different. They work with a wide range of businesses from ‘Not for Profit’ to ‘Technology and Media’ and everything in between. They are continually guided by their motto Ideas/People/Trust.

As a business they understand their role in the community they work in. They understand that the talent and energy they have can contribute to the kind of society we all want to live in. With Payroll giving that encourages employees to make tax-free donations to charities directly from their salary, and their community volunteering policy giving employees ten days a year for volunteering, they are committed to support local charities in their area.

The BDO Charitable Trust makes discretionary grants and matched donations. This year they have committed to sponsor The Lasham Classical in order to help support young musicians achieve their goals, some of which have gone on to have great careers in classical music, gaining places on courses like the Peter Symmonds Specialist Music Course and working in the major orchestras of UK and Europe .

CPC London and Black Hangar Film Studios are also delighted to be one of the proud sponsors of the 2019 Lasham Classical Music Festival and are working alongside the Lasham Music Festival team, to make this year’s event happen.

At Black Hangar Studios as well as producing their own feature films such as Breaking the Bank starring Kelsey Grammer and Born to be Blue starring Ethan Hawke, BHS has played host to some of the biggest international production companies including Disney, Amazon, Fox, ITV and the BBC.

CPC London and Black Hangar Film Studios have been part of the same group and for many years and have played a major role internationally within the film industry. They are one of the most versatile film studios in the UK that can produce 35mm film prints. CPC can also create a unique piece of ‘Film Artwork’ made out of 35mm film, one of which Black Hangar have kindly donated as a raffle prize. Also all the staff at the Lasham Music Festival will be wearing unique lanyards produced by Black Hangar from 35mm film.

Our final new sponsor Hattingley Valley Wines is a family owned business located in Hampshire specialising in premium English sparkling wines. Established in 60 acres of beautiful English countryside, Hattingley Valley has been recognised in competitions across the globe and developed into one of the most respected producers of English sparkling wines in the country. Hattingley was awarded the ‘World Champion’ trophy for its 2011 Blanc de Blancs in the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships 2017. This is an exciting addition to the trophy cabinet which includes ‘Best Vintage Rosé’ awarded to the 2011 vintage, Hattingley’s first release of this style, by the same competition in 2014.

Hattingley Valley Wines again are really delighted to support a local charity and have agreed to provide locally grown wines for the opening reception of the festival. Anyone attending our new supper concert can try these wonderful wines to complement their supper on Saturday 8th June.
